One Word to Describe Me

What inspired you to get into marketing?

As far as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about technology but also knew I wanted to tap further into my creative side. Therefore, upon getting a taste of digital marketing, I knew I had found my calling. Ever since, I’ve worked within a number of different areas of marketing including digital strategy, automation and demand generation.

How would you describe your role on the Halmyre team?

My role at Halmyre primarily focuses on marketing automation and demand generation leveraging HubSpot, while synchronizing these efforts with overall digital strategy. In addition, my responsibilities include consulting with clients on their marketing strategies and execution.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

Most of my workday is spent working with HubSpot, analyzing marketing campaigns and ensuring client deliverables exceed expectations.

What are your go-to apps to get the job done?

Although I use a lot of applications in my daily work, there are two that stand out in my mind:

1.   Microsoft Excel – I use Microsoft Excel on at least a weekly basis to organize, clean and analyze data.

2.   monday.com – It is a lifesaver in terms of project management and it makes planning for and tracking both client and internal projects so seamless.

How do you recharge or reset?

On weekends or during days off, I love to travel to new cities and countries, or even explore new places around the area. I recently moved to Toronto with my fiancé from Charlotte, North Carolina, and am excited to see what the city (and Canada) has to offer.

In the U.S., my favourite place to visit was Colorado — both Denver and Aspen were beautiful. We hiked to Maroon Bells (10,000 feet) in snow, in May (the snow had not yet melted)!

On a weekday, I like to recharge by ordering in and watching a movie or TV show. I love action/adventure and comedy. I’m currently watching the TV show The Blacklist and the new season of Dancing with the Stars!

What's the best advice you've received in your career?

The best advice I’ve received in my career is to never stop learning, whether it’s new skills, new tools or new concepts.

If you could help Halmyre's clients achieve one thing this year, what would it be?

I would help Halmyre’s clients maximize their marketing ROI by meeting their goals.

Favourite quote?

“Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.” – Theodore Roosevelt

Name one thing on your bucket list.

To travel to as many new countries and try as many new cuisines as possible.
