What inspired you to get into marketing?
How would you describe your role on the Halmyre team?
I provide the voice of the consumer – the clients’ customers. I provide the end user’s perspective and voice.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
It's usually a toss up. I spend my time either head down in business development and solving problems, or I am interacting with clients to help them see how to solve their own problems. I collaborate with clients to find the best solutions for them.
How do you recharge or reset?
In the winter I like to watch movies. I like rewatching older movies to decompress and am known for not sitting still through a movie. In the summer, I like to go up to our cottage in Sauble Beach and hang out on the beach.
One of the other ways I decompress is teaching my dog new tricks. I have a black retriever-terrier mix and I've taught her to do all sorts of things including sitting and staying without me having to say a word, and sometimes with her favourite treat – lettuce on her paws.
What's the best advice you've received in your career?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to believe in myself and my capabilities. To take a chance on myself to do what I know I can do and believe I can do it well.
If you could help Halmyre clients achieve one thing this year, what would it be?
I'd like to help Halmyre clients achieve their goals this year. If I don’t do this, I’m not doing my job.
